This success is the launch pad for their next project of marketing UK property websites.

Their first UK property site is the Haywards Heath Property Centre, a website dedicated to helping property buyers find their ideal property for sale in Haywards Heath.

This project is another UK SEO project for Artemis Internet Marketing and is certain to be as successful as their Spanish online marketing operations.

Holiday Apartments Calahonda

With all the cold weather in the Uk we've definately seen a large spike in traffic for people looking for somewhere to holiday here in Spain, we promote a luxury Calahonda holiday apartment website and the enquiries have jumped up this week.

So for anyone looking to rent their property out in Spain make sure you get some web exposure asap to take advantage of this surge in searches.

Calanova Golf

We are going to be working with Calanova Golf in 2010 promoting their dedicated Calanova Golf website, we'll keep you updated on the sites progress.

Google Home Page Re-Design

WOW Google have certainly been busy over the last few weeks with changes, advances, new services, new products and reading between the lines, new algo tweaks that will eventually impact on SERPS.

So here at Artemis Internet Marketing in Marbella we will try and bring you the various news and information in separate postings.

First thins first. Anyone notice the new Google home page today?

I did first thing this morning and to be honest I am finding it a little frustrating. Being an Internet Marketing company and head of SEO here at Artemis, I am always in and out of various Google services. So as usual I opened up my home page which is defaulted to Google.Com and looking back at me was a very 'white' page with the search bar and logo in it's normal place.

Where had all the links like Advertising Programs and Sign-In gone?

I admit I did panic a little at first. Was it a flaw with my recently downloaded AVG 9, or maybe some type of malware preventing links showing. Then as if by magic, a few moments later the links just faded in.

Google said the move was designed to remove distractions for those web users "intent on searching".

So not to worry it's a re-design of the Google home page aimed at searchers. I guess I will have to get used to it then.

Would have been nice if Google had;

1) Let people know
2) Given the option to use the legacy page

Article by Paul Lopez Head of SEO and Co-Director of Artemis Internet Marketing, Marbella

Google limits free access to news

Over the last week we have seen lots of articles about news items appearing on Google from 'subscription' services and about Google potentially using these news items to gain additional advertising revenues. It would seem that the 'news industry' are not happy about news items appearing in search results that would normally only be available by subscribing to the 'website'.

Today Google have announced their response to this argument by allowing publishers to set a limit on the number of articles individuals are allowed to view before they are re-directed to a sign up / subscription form.

The product manager of Google's 'First Click Free' service Josh Cohen recently posted a blog saying "We've updated the programme so that publishers can limit users to no more than five pages per day without registering or subscribing"

This whole situation has been driven by the industry as they are concerned about the 42% slump in ad revenues. They are all looking for new ways to generate income and the natural way seems to use the massive popularity of the Internet to restrict access to certain titles with a registration / subscription service.

Newscorp in the UK who own the best selling publications like the Sun Newspaper and The Times are considering making all of its online content available only as paid for content.

What amazes us is that these publications have relied on the popularity of search and the huge Google user base as a way of increasing their own 'followers'. Making content paid for is just going to take them back out of the 'race' as it will leave the way open for publications to offer the same news stories and similar content to searchers for FREE.

Let's face it I like to read articles in the Times Online everyday. Sometimes it is good and useful other days it is just waffle and of little interest. So how would I feel about paying to see whether there is anything of interest to me.

With the growth of Social Media networks like Twitter the way breaking news and events is shared has already changed dramatically and in some cases is not only faster than Google's indexing of breaking news, it offers better alternatives and feedback about news items.

It will be very interesting to follow this story and monitor the results.

You can't 'use' Google for ranking when you want and then get uptight about items appearing that you would rather make money on. If you don't want it in the search results there are many ways to stop it appearing. What they seem to want to do is get it ranking so people click and then hit them with a 'now you have to pay' message.

It should be one or the other, ranked or not ranked.

Article by Paul Lopez
SEO Manager and Co-Director of Artemis Internet Marketing

Birthday Cakes London

Here at Artemis we don't just work for the end-user we are often approached by other Internet marketing and SEO companies to help support their work with clients.

One such example is for a company called London Cakes makers of Birthday cakes London.

London Cakes are a specialist cake supplier who have their own bakery in London and make to order many different cakes for birthdays and all other celebrations.

We are happy to offer our SEO services and to build one way links to their website from our network of sites. This month we are pleased to recommend the brand new yourViva website which has undergone a total makeover.

Although it is still very much a 'work in progress' the clean design and factual yet humorous content about property in Spain is a real breath of fresh air.

It is packed with lots of essential and useful information about all aspects of Spanish property from buying a new home on the Costa del Sol, selling your Spanish property and many interesting articles like the bank repossessions in Spain page "fact or fiction".

Take a look at the new yourVIVA website at www.vivaestates.com for honest and straight to the point views on the Spanish property market.

Holiday Car Hire

Artemis Internet Marketing are proud to announce the launch of their latest online project in association with Car Trawler, the worlds most innovative and leading car hire comparison search engine for holiday car hire and business car hire.

The brand new car hire website quite simply called thecarhiresite.com allows visitors to search over 17,000 locations across the world for the cheapest car hire rates.

The growing number of comparison websites means that Internet 'shoppers' are now used to being able to compare rates and services easily in one place. The Car Hire Site is no exception and allows you to compare car hire results from each countries leading car hire firms, all in one place.

Booking is extremely simple and you only pay a deposit to book with the balance payable when you collect your hire car.

The guys at Artemis have also added a light hearted page to the website which has some of the funniest driving videos found online. So either before you book or afterward these 'tips on what not to do when renting a car' might just bring a smile to your face. It already has the Internet marketing and SEO world in turmoil as we try and test the new version and match results against existing search results.

To the normal searcher things will look pretty much the same. They might not notice that the results are delivered fractionally faster or that there are more 'real time' results. To SEO companies we have our thinking caps on and need to ensure that number one, our clients results remain the same (or improve) and that we leverage the new results to the advantage of our clients.

I conducted many different tests and found the results virtually the same. The odd move up or down a place or two, which of course in highly competitive terms can mean a massive difference in visitors. But in general much was the same.

The one thing I have noticed that does seem to be common to all searches is the removal of images in SERPS.

I tried the search BMW

Google Caffeine: No images results and news results (real time) up at P4
Normal Google: Image results included at P4 and news at P5

So to check I did a search for Nikki Beach

Google Caffeine: No images results
Normal Google: Images at P6

Why not try Google Caffeine yourself and compare results for your industry or main keywords.

http://www2.sandbox.google.com/

There is also a Dissatisfied? Help us improve link at the bottom of the page.

So after all eyes having been on Bing recently Google has shifted the limelight back to the worlds most used search engine.

Article by Paul Lopez
Artemis Internet Marketing

Printers Costa del Sol - Marbella

Artemis Internet Marketing are pleased to welcome on board another new client Eye Print.

We will be concentrating initially on SEO and then on the calls to actions.

Who are Eye Print?

Most established businesses on the Costa del Sol will more than likely know Tony and the team at Eye Print.
