Google Caffeine
It's been dubbed Google Caffeine and it's currently in a testing phase but one thing is for sure, Google will be rolling out their 'new' search engine in the very near future. It already has the Internet marketing and SEO world in turmoil as we try and test the new version and match results against existing search results.
To the normal searcher things will look pretty much the same. They might not notice that the results are delivered fractionally faster or that there are more 'real time' results. To SEO companies we have our thinking caps on and need to ensure that number one, our clients results remain the same (or improve) and that we leverage the new results to the advantage of our clients.
I conducted many different tests and found the results virtually the same. The odd move up or down a place or two, which of course in highly competitive terms can mean a massive difference in visitors. But in general much was the same.
The one thing I have noticed that does seem to be common to all searches is the removal of images in SERPS.
I tried the search BMW
Google Caffeine: No images results and news results (real time) up at P4
Normal Google: Image results included at P4 and news at P5
So to check I did a search for Nikki Beach
Google Caffeine: No images results
Normal Google: Images at P6
Why not try Google Caffeine yourself and compare results for your industry or main keywords.

There is also a Dissatisfied? Help us improve link at the bottom of the page.
So after all eyes having been on Bing recently Google has shifted the limelight back to the worlds most used search engine.
