Real Estate SEO Spain

Here at Artemis Internet Marketing we specialise in SEO in Spain and already work with a number of Spanish based clients as well as overseas property clients. Therefore it is important to keep up to date on the various trends and surveys that are carried out regarding the Internet and how people us the Internet in Europe for example.

The details of a survey carried out explains why as a business in Spain (or Europe) you should be allocating more funds to Internet marketing, especially if you are a Spanish real estate company or an overseas property business.

The results of a survey conducted in Europe using 5,000 consumers indicated quite decisively that our beloved Internet is almost five times MORE influential than magazines, newspapers and other forms of printed media in affecting a sale.

The statistics associated with how influential the Internet was in affecting the outcome of a sale was quite staggering with 42% in the UK, 40% in Germany and 37% in France. This was rated much higher than other forms of media with the TV coming in at 23%, 22% and 25% respectively.

Now for all those property agents that still insist on using printed media such as magazines and newspapers to advertise their properties in Spain and overseas in order to pick up new leads, these forms of media came in at between just 9% and 14%.

With purchases that are associated with lifestyle or those that are deemed to impact on the buyers lives, the actual influence of the Internet was even more pronounced.

Buyers now see the enormous benefits of the Internet but even now there are still doubts in the minds of some buyers as to the integrity of online information. Here at Artemis Internet part of our online marketing strategy is addressing these 'fears' and quickly overcoming them in order to maintain and increase sales leads.

Overseas Property Forums
Love them or hate them when people are looking and researching large purchases such as overseas property they tend to want to see what others have to say and therefore seek out forums and other social media sites.

Overseas Property Internet Marketing Strategy
At Artemis we are constantly reviewing statistical data for many industry sectors, especially the overseas property market and therefore adapt our marketing strategies to suit. With overseas property one of the first activities we need to develop on a clients website is to build trust with the visitor. With the current state of the overseas property markets there are of course fewer buyers and these buyers now tend to conduct a great deal more research on the Internet and are better informed but along with it they are less trusting.

So one of the first activities here at Artemis Internet when we market a clients overseas property website is to start the trust and relationship building as soon as possible.

How do we do this?

Below are just some of the tactics we employ to achieve the above:

Clean, uncluttered trustworthy websites - This can be the difference between getting a lead or the visitor leaving the site and going to a competitor.

You need to know what pages visitors arrive on and what pages they exit on, we need to review bounce rates and see what points people leave without going any further.

We will help you start building a relationship with your visitors right away by answering some of their potential questions within your website. What questions? Well that is part of our job as your Internet marketing company. We will go through and list out potential questions a potential client might have at the early stages and then work with you to come up with clear and concise answers.

We need to ensure that the navigation of your website is clear and easy to use. Many Internet marketing companies look at your website from a search engine perspective not a human one. This is wrong as you need to do it the other way around. Of course it needs to be search engine friendly but it also needs to convert.

Internet Advertising Expenditure Increases by 40% in Europe

Despite the global credit crunch and the supposed property crashes hitting every European country the online expenditure for advertising has not showed any apparent signs of slowing down, according to data provided by Interactive Advertising Bureau Europe.

In fact the figures suggest that online spending in Europe has increased by a massive 40%, when compared to last year to 11.2 billion euro across 16 European countries that were analysed.

Breaking this down even further to specific countries the highest spends were recorded in the UK, Germany and France, which claimed 65% of the overall expenditure at around 5.7 billion euro. However, some very interesting data also revealed that some of the countries who have really just started to realise the power of the Internet as a marketing tool also grew substantially with Greece by 91%, Spain by 55% and Slovenia by 49%.

When looking at Northern Europe and Southern Europe as separate entities it was interesting to note that Northern Europe has a much larger share of the online advertising spends with the Netherlands and Norway spending 18.5% and 15.6% of their total marketing spend online respectively. In Southern Europe Italy and Spain were the leaders by allocating 6.7% and 4.5% of their marketing expenditure to online activities respectively.

What does this show?

People selling property in Southern Europe are missing out on a huge chunk of potential business.

The overseas real estate market in Spain for example generally involves selling to people in colder and wetter climates but in richer economies who are looking for that second home in the sun. You can see by the figures that Northern Europeans are actually allocating more and more budget to online advertising as they realise that many of them spend a considerable amount of time on the Internet. However, in Southern Europe it is clear from the figures that companies are not using the biggest tool available to get in front of the Northern Europeans, by this we of course mean the Internet.

It is a simple equation;

The biggest market for property buyers in Spain is Northern Europe

The majority of Northern Europeans spend a considerable amount of time online

So this means that Southern European real estate countries should be allocating far more of their advertising budgets to Internet Marketing activities.

Here at Artemis Internet Marketing we specialise in the real estate sector and already conduct a number of online campaigns for Spanish property companies using Search Engine Optimisation, Search Engine Marketing and Pay Per Click Advertising.
